My biggest ‘huh?’ moment was right after the resonator fails and Baird says “why don’t we use this little ball that conveniently contains maps of all of the Locust tunnels? the one which I appear to have been inexplicably carrying around all this time? did I mention that it was found at Fenix’s Dad’s house?” You have what now? I’m mostly in the camp that doesn’t really expect this type of game to have a plot that goes much beyond ‘these aliens are baddies kill them’ and GoW doesn’t really try to do much more than that … except it kinda does and I can see why people up-thread would believe that some of the content was cut. My main reason for resurrecting was to comment on the plot though. ![]() The two berserkers that I’ve encountered so far have both been pretty frustrating at first and it only makes it worse when you finally realise how easy it actually is to beat each one*. ![]() That said, there are some irritating things that I hope aren’t repeated in GoW2 (I suspect I’ll enjoy that title just as much regardless). The enemy AI is good enough (even on casual) to make them fun to fight and I like that they occasionally try to flank you. The gunplay is great and the cover system works really well. For me, at least.Īnyway, I’m enjoying it mostly. Sorry for the thread resurrect but I’m playing this at the moment (in anticipation of getting GoW2 over Christmas) so it’s a bit topical.
